Information Regarding Ringette for the Upcoming Months

Ringette Ontario has suspended all sanctioned ringette activities until August 1st. This date is based on the assumption of the re-opening of facilities by then but will be reconsidered at that time. This includes, but is not limited to: any on or off ice activity including tryouts, meetings, and social events. Even if the arenas open prior to August 1st, Associations will not have insurance coverage so cannot book any ice prior to that date.

What does this mean for us?

AGM: Postponed until further notice.

Year end banquets: Have been cancelled and any ticket purchases will be refunded to the families.

Tryouts: Will be held after August 1. Exact timing and logistics will be determined closer to that date.

Equipment/Jersey Return: We cannot accept jerseys and equipment until after August 1.

The above information is based on what we know right now. Obviously, considerable uncertainty will remain for some time, and further changes are possible.

Please feel free to reach out to us at executive@westottawaringette.com with any questions or concerns. We wish all of our ringette families continued health and safety and look forward to seeing you at the rink as soon as we are able to do so!

And the giving continues with U12P Galaxy!

U12P Galaxy was so inspired by the WORA U16A and U8 teams, they’re also rising to challenge in support of the Kanata Food Cupboard with a $200 donation. Despite the abrupt end to our season, the girls are doing their best to support each other and keep the team spirit alive virtually. Grateful for our ringette family and the support of our community this year, we look forward to getting back together on the ice as soon as we can!  Thank you WORA and keep well everyone!
