Introducing the new Player Advocate Role to WORA

The Executive would like to introduce a new role to our membership.

The Player Advocate Role has been created to help act as a guide and intermediary for players and families when issues arise within teams or the association that cannot be addressed satisfactorily at the level.

The role description in its entirety can be found here.

Alison Press has been selected for this year to fill this position on a one year term.

Alison was a West Ottawa family member for a number of years (is Alumni now) and also held the VP role on the executive for several years. She brings a background in conflict resolution as well as a solid understanding of policies and procedures at the association, regional, and provincial level.

The Player Advocate can be reached with any questions or concerns you may have at playeradvocate@westottawaringette.com.
