2020-21 Season – FINAL UPDATE

With Ottawa moving back into the red zone, the board of executives have voted to end the 2020-21 season as of March 18th, 2021. Although we would have loved to finish the season with you all as planned, the health and safety of our members is our top priority. Members, please refer to the email sent this morning for further details.

We would like to take this time to thank all of our members for their patience and understanding throughout the entire season. We were able to get through this all together!  #ALLIN

Message to our amazing volunteers

Dear WORA volunteers,

We would like to take a moment to give a special thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers. To all the volunteers; coordinators, instructors, COVID safety officers, trainers, managers, admins, and everyone that helps make this association run smoothly, we THANK YOU!

This season, as you know, has been one that we have never experienced before, and if it wasn’t for everyone’s help and support, we wouldn’t have been as successful as we were able to be.

See you next season,

WORA executives

Update: 2021 Tryouts

We have been notified by Ringette Ontario that there will be no spring or summer tryouts this year and that tryouts should not take place until September 1st.

We are expecting further details around this but wanted to make everyone interested in tryouts aware of the change for 2021.

Thank you!

Lockdown Update

Just a quick update to you all on getting back on the ice!

The intent is for each group to come back for 2 hours per week assuming the lockdown is lifted Jan 22. This means we would be on the ice Jan 23/24 weekend!

This of course also assumes that arena and group size protocols remain the same as before the lockdown.

Another update will follow as soon as we have more information.

Happy New Year!
