Coach Clinic - Beat the Ringette Curve - January 25th
“Beat the Learning Curve” for new ringette coaches who want to get their teams organized for the season, follow drills by leading coaches to address key ringette skills, implement classic Ringette tactics, determine lines, manage player expectations, follow provincial guidelines, and keep all those “PARENTS” informed and supportive.
Wednesday January 25, 7:00-9:00 PM Upstairs at Brown's (Your Independent Grocer) Stittsville
Clinic is open to all coaches but geared for coaches with 2 years or less experience. Please register by sending an email to vice.president@westottawaringette.com
“From Athlete to Coach” Workshop for Ringette Players
Paul Youldon will be holding a special two hour event for Ringette players 14 and older who are thinking about or currently help coach a team, assist with clinics, and play some leadership role in Ringette.

The next WORA Tournament Comittee meeting will be held on Tuesday January 31st at Brown's Independent Grocer at 7:30 pm. Please bring team prize table gifts to this meeting
All team reps are expected to attend.
Recreational Coaches Meeting

Nepean Winter 2012 Goalie Clinics
Ottawa and Nepean are again jointly hosting a series of goalie clinics, open to goalies from all associations, at the Nepean Sportsplex 1 on the following Tuesdays:17-Jan, 31-Jan and 14-Feb.
- Tuesday Jan 17th
- 7PM - Novice, Petite, Tween B and Tween C
- 8PM - Junior, Belle, Tween A/AA, PP1
- Tuesday Jan 31st
- 7:00 PM - Novice, Petite, Tween B,C
- 8:00 PM - Junior, Belle, Tween A/AA, PP1
- Tuesday February 14th
- 7:00 PM - Novice, Petite, Tween B,C
- 8:00 PM - Junior, Belle, Tween A/AA, PP1
WORA will reimburse all goalies attending the clinic for the $15 charge.
Leadership Camp for Ringette Players (off-ice)

West Ottawa Hosts 2012 A Provincials
Our Association has been selected to host the 2012 A Provincial Championships. They will be running from March 15-18, 2012. We will need many volunteers to make this event a success, so if you are interested in volunteering your time or talent please contact Kathy McCaw at past.president@westottawaringette.com for more information.
Online Registration for 2011/2012 Season is Open!
Registration can be done online by clicking on the registration tab above and selecting "2011-2012 Registration".
Registration fees remain the same as last season, except for the Bunny programme which has increased by $25. Some divisions will fill up quickly and to guarantee your player's spot you should be registered by July 15th. Don't forget that you can save $60 on your player fee by participating in the grocery card program.
