Fall 2017 Competitive Tryouts for U12 Provincial

For all players trying out for West Ottawa U12 Provincial (competitive) teams please follow the instructions below:

  • ERRA Tryout Registration – All players participating in U12 Provincial tryouts must register on the ERRA site prior to the start of tryouts
  • West Ottawa Tryout Fee – A tryout fee of $75 must be paid prior to attending the first tryout session. The fee must be paid by logging in to our registration system and purchasing the 2017 Fall U12 Competitive Try Out Fee.

Come Try Ringette – Saturday, Sept 9th, GRC A, 2 pm

The West Ottawa Ringette Association is hosting a “Come Try Ringette” Event!

What: This is a FREE event for children ages 4 and up. All your child needs to bring is a helmet, skates, winter gloves or protective gloves and enthusiasm. Ringette sticks and rings will be available to borrow for the session.

There will be on ice helpers to assist new skaters. West Ottawa Executive members will also be available to answer any questions you may have and to provide more information about this great game.

*If you are already a WORA player, tell your friends about it or bring a friend to introduce her to this great sport! 

When: Saturday, September 9, 2017

On ice session:  2:00 – 2:50 pm      *Please arrive 20-30 minutes before the session in order to sign in and get ready for on ice session.

Where: Goulbourn Recreation Centre (Stittsville), Arena A, 1500 Shea Rd, Stittsville, ON

How: Please register on-line for this event on the Come Try Ringette web site here. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the wonderful sport of ringette!

Road to Worlds – 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser for Team Canada

Ringette Canada’s Senior and Junior National Teams will be on the ice for the World Ringette Championships in Mississauga, Ontario from November 27 to December 3, 2017.

As a way to raise funds for all our Junior and Senior Team Canada athletes, a 5K Run/Walk will be held in Calgary, Edmonton, Lacombe, Winnipeg, London, Ottawa, Halifax, and Montreal.

The race series has been officially endorsed by Ringette Canada.

Team Canada athletes from Ottawa who will compete at the 2017 World Championships include Alison Biewald, Jasmine Leblanc and Kaitlyn Youldon.

The Ottawa race will be held on Saturday, October 7th at 9 am at the Experimental Farm.

Anyone can run or walk in the event, including ringette players, teams, coaches, parents, siblings, and friends.
