WEST OTTAWA RINGETTE POWERSKATING PROGRAM – 2014/2015

Once again this year West Ottawa Ringette has partnered with Goulbourn Skating Club (GSC) to provide its members with the CanPower Power Skating Program. This year, there are both 10 and 20 week programs starting in early October and ending in March.

The objectives of this power skating program are to:

  • Provide continued skating skill development for all players who are interested.
  • Encourage players on competitive teams to develop efficient skating techniques, increase speed, agility and technical aspects of skating which will accelerate development.
  • Partner with GSC (Skate Canada) on creating a fun focused young/beginner level skating development program. (Bunnies)
  • Partner with Skate Canada on Ringette skating skill development.
  • Maintain a cost competitive program.

Other Goulbourn Skating Club (GSC) sessions

In addition to these sessions that are exclusive to West Ottawa Ringette skaters, the GSC also offers public sessions (20 weeks) that are available to our players at a reduced rate.

To qualify for the reduced rate, registration MUST be submitted to West Ottawa, and NOT to GSC.

While the Monday, 6 p.m. session in Richmond is available to all players, it has, in the past, been a popular choice for Novice and Petite players. For this reason, U14 Tween and older players may wish to participate in the Tuesday, 7 p.m. session in Stittsville (which is not exclusive to West Ottawa Skaters).

Registration information will be posted shortly. Remember, you must register with West Ottawa Ringette, not Goulbourn Skating Club for these prices and programs.
